Welcome to My Walk Of International Outreach
Hello, My name is Ashaunte Stroman and this is a view of my journey. I am a individual of curiosity and drive for new experiences who loves to explore the various cultures that the world has to offer. Throughout my many experiences from middle school , high school and well into college. I have found many ways to engage with different cultures and organizations. Along the way, I have been taught, informed, and impacted mentally/physically. For that I am always grateful.

Community Involvement
Miami River Green Way Beautification Project
Gave back by putting in maintenance into an area that goes under looked , and that felt great. My team and I had the opportunity to paint the walls of the streets. Pick weeds, and lay mulch while picking up trash. Being hands on with modification of an important area in little Havana. So being apart of the solution always feels great especially doing it with others. Feed My Starving ChildrenWe fed millions worldwide this day and that is something I will never forget. Being a mentor of a special group did my junior year nothing but justice. Thank you FIU global living learning. I remember the team leader of the day at feed my starving children, stated how its valentines day so instead of purchasing all the pointless gifts, give a child a meal.

Hartwick Symposium
Being able to be apart of a special Olympics day event was unreal. The Panther life project team gathered up students from all schools and ages over the state. They spent three days at the school with a full itinerary of exercise, performing arts, team building activities and so much more. I had the privilege to have a team and be their aid to whatever they need. We bonded in such short time and competed to be the best group. My students were so much fun and taught me a lot about patience, understanding and truly appreciating what you have. Lotus houseVisited a shelter in liberty city with S.I.S.T.E.R.S (Students Incorporating Service to Encourage Real Success) . These kids were so amazed with me that I play rugby and how involved I am at school. The funny thing about it, was that I was looking up to them. They didn't let their conditions influence their drive, joy and so much more. I still keep in contact with some of the young adults I meet on this day.
